I have completed my lower primary education from Kinavakkal LP School Mouvery in 1982. This school is around 800 metres away from house. Kinvakkal and Mouvery are two adjascent places of Kottayam Panchayath. There was one Mouvery school in Kinavakkal. So our school got a name which is reverse name of the other school. One side of the school is rice fields and the other side is coconut plantations. Mouvery is also a beautiful place like other places of Kerala.
We had total six divisions and each division was having an average strength of 40 students. Total strength of the teachers were 8. I passed my 5th standard from this school in 1982.
Kottayam Raja's High School Pathiriyadu.
After completing my lower primary studies I joined in Kottayam Raja's High School, Pathiriyadu which is two and a half kilo metres away from my house. Total strength of students were around 1500 and total no of teachers were around 50. This school is situated in Vengad Panchayath. I have completed my SSLC in 1987.
Nirmalagiri College, Nirmalagiri, Kuthuparamba.
I have joined in Nirmalagiri College, Nirmalagiri which is around six kilometres away from my house for my pre-university studies. I opted first group which constitutes Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as major subjects. Nirmalagiri is a beautiful place in Mangattidom Panchayath. College is on the top of high place and we can see entire adjoining area from this place. Total sterngth of the students were 3000. I completed my Pre-Degree in 1989 from this college.
Nirmalagiri College is an aided college and is managed by Tellicherry Bishop. This is situated near to Thalassery Koottupuzha state high way. Nearest town from the college is Kuthuparamba and it is around 3 kilo metres away. College is surrounded by cashew nut plantations. One side of the college is residential area.
Since Pre-Degree has removed completely from colleges the student strength of Nirmalagiri College also has been reduced drastically. At present I am not having exact data with me. As soon as it is available I will update this page.
Govt College of Engineering, Cannanore.
After passing Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination I joined in Government College of Engineering, Cannanore for my Batchelers Degree course in Electronics and Communicatons Engineering. CCEK is offering degree courses in four branches which are Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Each branch is having 40 seats. Total student strength is 640. Here I enjoyed the guidance and teaching of faculties like Dr G Krishnan, Prof G Jayashankar, Prof Sukesh Kumar and Prof Radha Krishna Kamath. I have passed my B. Tech. in 1993 September.
